Re: Z-uno Nfc badge reader
Thank you for clarifying PoltoS. I found some reference to the debug command in the zuno lib files, but without any practical documentation and it being only compatible with z-way, I don't think it will be much use to me. No worries, I was not trying to stress you, just curious if it was still on th...

Re: RFID reader tutorial
oh yeah and it looks like a bad idea to me to put any card reader on battery, it will eat through those batteries quite quickly as the reader coil has to be powered all the time.

Re: RFID reader tutorial
LOL , I'm not that far ahead of you. * I programmed an arduino only on one other occasion and I'm no developer of any sorts. * it is best you get an Arduino UNO to get you started, I borrowed one from a friend for a few days. * your rfid does rs232, so that should be good and the sample code is read...

Re: RFID reader tutorial
Sharing more of my thoughts (not necessarily all correct ;) ) * I choose NFC over rfid cause the reader (antenna) is smaller * either way best is to choose a reader that connects on i2c and comes with arduino libs * might be a bit more expensive, but will safe you tons of work and headaches ;) * I a...

Re: Z-uno Nfc badge reader
@PoltoS Working on this idea again. Seems not much has been done for this 'Entry Control commmand class' yet. Do you have any refernce towards the debug functions? Debug function ?? I have only found code/examples that let you activate a debug mode by zwave on the zuno that will write stuff to the s...

Re: RFID reader tutorial
Hello I have a very similar idea, I posted a while back for a NFC reader. (https://forum.z-wave.me/viewtopic.php?f=3427&t=28532) The NFC reader data would be read out by I2C and the objective would be to send the code over zwave to the controller, where an action could be taken. I have some expe...

Re: Z-uno Nfc badge reader
@PoltoS
Thanks for the update, fits perfect with my planning, was about to start (effectively) in august/september, finish ideally in november/december.
Looking forward to see the new command class being added.
