Needing a hard reset after certain z-way-server crashes

Hello, I have an issue that occurs every now and then (could be weeks or months between instances) but is fairly annoying. I have a cron job set up to restart z-way-server every minute, as I found in the past that it will occasionally crash. This usually helps to keep things running. However, there ...

Re: ZWay crashing daily

Hello, Glad to see that this is continuing to be worked on in the other thread. Until this is fixed, I've got a cron that will run z-way-server every couple minutes (it does nothing it is currently running). Just a cheap watchdog. Re: Schlage lock logging support still broken in v1.4

Hello, To be a little more clear, I expect to see the Access Control alarm (type 6) listed as a Binary Sensor, but it isn't listed. It only shows in the Control | Notifications of the Expert UI. Re: Schlage lock logging support still broken in v1.4

Hello, I'm also trying to get my Schlage lock to work properly. I sitll have the issue that jensmoes reports, where manual turning of the deadbolt will cause an Access Control alarm to be sent, but z-way doesn't update that state of the lock. To work around this, I'm trying to do an if-then automati...

Re: v2.2.0 Mulilevel Switches not showing in automation

Hello,

I had the same problem and ended up downgrading to get my system working again.

Has anyone other than SeaBii and bcaroll also encountered this? Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks!

Re: Accessing from Internet safely

Hello, If you want to be extra safe, I'd recommend setting up a VPN to access your home, and allowing RPi access only through that. It does take some work and technical know-how, however, and is not simple. The way I did it was by getting a router that supports DD-WRT with OpenVPN. DD-WRT is an open...
