May be your filesystem has been corrupted and Z-Connector files are not valid now. Try to download it again and install.

That's all I read the problem. "This was problem with recently registered clients only. " No solution? Because no connection with it. I will always recently registered clients?

Z-Connector can't connect - Failed to Open Device

Post by DGL »

Similar issue.
Installed the Z-connector under Windows 7 - 64 bit as per instructions tried to connect the Z-Connector and get the error message: Failed to open device: Permission denied.
I am logged in as admin, tried all USB ports, using COM5, tried \.COM5, rebooted, reinstalled, signed up with a new User ID, downloaded certificates, turned off firewall, nothing helps. About to give up with Z-Wave Me. Any ideas?

Should be a Windows problem.

Should be a Windows problem. Do you have firewall that can block access to h/w? Can other s/w access same port?

If you are running homeseer, or in my case openremote, close it. Apparently two programs cant access it at the same time.
