I would suggest to post this on Synology forum, not here
This has nothing to do with Z-Wave and Z-Cloud. May be Aeon can help, but I doubt.
Anyway, try this: http://blog.deadcode.net/2009/12/21/com ... -2-2-0944/ to compile cp210x (or 2101) module.
The problem is that your kernel is probably not 2.6.32.12 and you need to change Makefile26 for correct value.

Kernel is 2.6.32.12, but the
Kernel is 2.6.32.12, but the build directory has not been created for some reason. I'll wait and see if the Syno people come up with something.

It was not because you have not compile the kernel itself!
You need to install linux-headers and probably kernel sources to compile the module.
Yes, that is what I get from
Yes, that is what I get from reading a number of threads. Quite complicated this USB stuf. My previous former Unix experience dates back to the mid 70's of last century, using teletypes. Both seem equal culture shocks for me these days.
I 'll ask someone with more recent Linux experience if the Synology list does not respond. I would like to try it as simple as possible, not involving compilation on a full blown Linux machine, so it will be useful for other Synology users as well.

I give up. This Linux stuf is so darn user unfriendly. At least for me. Native compiling on DS212+ is not an option I learned. I wasted an other day and a half on trying to cross-compile on VirtualBox/Suse. Instruction documents from Synology are incomplete, in some places wrong and not up to date. I 'll wait and see if somebody produces the drivers for this USB-stick.

I have folowed a line
I have folowed a line comparable to the second post in this thread. I have summarised it on the Synology forum . Unfortunately the list is not very active anymore w.r.t. compiling third party packages. Maybe someone else is willing to give it a try on their rig. (Be warned that all the Synology sources take some 3.5 Gb, and quite a bit of time to extract)
