Problem fixed. I got a new image copied to my SD card. Running jessie now and then did the wget install/upgrade to v2.2.2. I noticed that the latest v2.2.2 build is different from a few days ago so I'm not positive moving to jessie solved the problem. The new v2.2.2 version is called "v2.2.2-test-new-webserver". This shows up in /etc/z-way/VERSION for you linux guys. Contact me if you have more questions.

Same issue here, I've noticed my SD card root was full.
I've tried a few things to recover but it seems it messed things up big time.
