I have an old thread for Habitat back when it was in beta but now that the final version has been out for a while I figured I'd make a new one.

Habitat is a third-party, open source, Android app for controlling and managing your Z-way powered Z-wave network. It's very actively maintained and developed and in terms of features surpasses the official Android app in a number of ways. Features include, but are not limited to:

- Full control over your devices, locations and device history
- Charts show device history for applicable devices (thermostats, multi-sensors, etc).
- Manually or automatically create and store backups of your Z-way controller
- Show detailed controller information with the ability to restart the controller if necessary
- Dashboard with local weather forecast integrated
- Time based automations. Schedule device events right from the app
- SSL support

Many features are currently in development.

- Full control over your installed apps/modules. List/install/delete/reinitialize modules straight from the app without using the web interface
- Improved device support
- Fingerprint/passcode protection for critical devices such as door locks, etc.
- Geofencing

Are you planning to implement cameras support?

I'd love to add support for cameras. However, I currently don't own any Z-way cameras and don't know anyone with one either. However, if you have one and would be willing to send me some data, I'd be happy to look into it!

@Aegis, wanted to say that the app is superb! Would be great if Z-wave.me replace their app with your as an official one.

@captador: We are constantly improving our new app since it's in April. Hope next version will be much better and you will consoder it.

Anyway Habitat is nice.

@Aegis: may be you can consider upgrading your module with new Push notifications and with support of tokens authentication.
