How to permanently save a configuration?

Post by Tiptop »

Hello,

every time I rename a device using the port 8083 GUI, the configuration is used/saved only as long as I do not reboot the RaZberry unit or the z-way-server.
I do not know if I missed something but on each reboot, the z-way-server uses Device 1 ... n as device names, only.

There also seems to be a problem with the Switch on/off all assignment; the server doesn't seem to always save this setting, too. On most of my devices I also get an "Internal Server Error" when I'm writing this setting to the devices. However, the write operation seems to actually work as the devices react properly...

Is this a known issue or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance!

Regard,
Stefan

Yepp, you are right, I thought it is a bug and it probably really is:
If you rename the devices under "Devices configuration", the "Save" button stays grayed out.
If you switch to the Map, the "Save" button switches to selectable because of the changes.
I tried it and yes... now the rename operations are savable!
Thanks, good to know this workaround!

Yes, it is a legacy problem.

Yes, it is a legacy problem. A long time ago renaming was only on Map tab and then moved to Configuration, but Save is still related to Map.
