How the mechanism for refreshing state of the device in the controller data holder actually works

Post by Nejc »

Hi.

I got one question about default interval or how the mechanism for refreshing state of the device in thecontroller data holder actually works. If the device state changes, will device automatically sent new state to controller or is this matter of some default Get interval? This asking because I don’t won’t constantly sending Get requests to devices but on the other hand I won’t to have quick response to state change. Examples: I turn lap ON via other devices. Smooth changing state values during dimming.

Thanks,
Nejc

This strongly depends on the device you are using. Some devices (Z-Wave.Me, Fibaro, some Everspring) are sending reports (to a special association group). Some do not. You need to look into manual of your device to get more info.
