CUL stick or RaZberry?

Post by marsman »

Hi folks!

I have a Raspi with CC1101-USB-Lite CUL stick and OpenHAB 2 to control heating thermostats from Homematic. Now I'm thinking about expanding my small system with Z-Wave to trigger Fibaro wall plugs. Do I also need the RaZberry module or can I use Homematic and Z-Wave together via the CUL stick? Actually it should be able to do both?

Thanks in advance

You need a Z-Wave transceiver. RaZberry or UZB

I recommend a general zwave stick like from Aeotec of similar.

If you go for RaZberry or UZB i have some tips here written for you.

Great, thanks.

Actually off topic, but: I still use Homematic as I explained in my question. Is there an important reason why I should switch completely to z-wave?
