Razberry & Philio PAN04

Post by redosk »

Hi,

I have just bought a Razberry and two PAN04 (In Wall Dual relay(1 way) switch module).
At first, both ones was included on the same ID : when I switch the main power on, both entered in autoinclusion mode simultaneously, so I had to cancel autoinclusion on one, and let the other include with the Razberry.

When I tried to include manually the second one, the green led switch off immediately, the Razberry did not interview the PAN04 and did not really include it, so I had to retry the inclusion a few times before it worked.
Is it normal ?

When I switch the main power off, both PAN04 seem to forget that they were included : as I turn the main power on, their led blinks indicating that they are back in autoinclusion mode...
Is it normal too ? Will I have to reinclude all my devices every time I power them off or on every power drop ?

Thanks in advance if you can help ! :)

Try to do the following: after powering on, cancel autoinclusion on both devices.
After that, press "Exclude" on RaZberry and press inclusion button on first device. Press "Exclude" once again and do the same for the second device.
Now press "Include" and press inclusion button on first device. It should appear with some ID now.
Repeat inclusion for second device. It should appear with some other ID.
Now try to switch power off and see if inclusion persists.

If devices go to autoinclusion mode again after powering on, there's some problem with them.

Hi,

I have tried to do this, but it does not work, both of my PAN04 modules forget who they are after a power cycle... :/
The seller told me that it can be because of incomplete support in OpenZWave library but, I seriously doubt !

I think I am going to send them back and try with others brand...

Philio are really good in firmware development. I'm pretty sure this behavior can be configured using Config params.

Well, I have sent back the PAN04 and exchanged them for 2 Fibaro FGS221... And I have exactly the same symptoms (I need to retry many times the inclusion, and the modules leave the network after a power cycle) !
So with 4 modules coming 2 brands, I think that the problem comes from the Razberry... :/

Is there a way to reflash it ? Or may it be a hardware problem and I will need to return the card for replacement ?

If the device is controllable after inclusion before powercycle and is no after - means it is a bug in the devices.

If it is not controllable even right after inclusion, the inclusion process was wrong. Then only logs can help.

Hi,

I have done this log after a full reset of my Razberry :
http://redox.fr/z-way.txt

Here is the chronology :
21:05:21.449 Reset
Fibaro FGS-221 (1st) (inclusion after a power cycle)
21:06:06.676 Inclusion (failed)
21:07:07.725 Inclusion (failed)
21:07:31.367 Inclusion (failed)
21:07:42.989 Inclusion (failed)
21:07:53.502 Inclusion (failed)
21:08:02.700 Inclusion (failed)
21:08:14.590 Inclusion (failed)
21:08:25.776 Inclusion (failed)
21:08:35.120 Inclusion (failed)
21:08:46.555 Inclusion (OK)
Fibaro FGS-221 (2nd) (inclusion after a power cycle)
21:09:18.020 Inclusion (failed)
21:09:29.280 Inclusion (OK)
Fibaro FGK-101 (inclusion after an EEPROM reset)
21:10:06.326 Inclusion (OK) <= I have been lucky here, as for the previous tests, I had to try the inclusion a few times even for the FGK-101.

Right after the inclusion of the FGK-101, both FGS-221 enter in alarm mode switching on/off/on/off indefinitely !

I think that this behavior is rather strange... right ??

Indeed. Please chekc manufacturing date (written on the board). if it is 14.04.2014-18.04.2014, you need to exchange it.

Hi,

I have purchased a Philio PAN04 (In Wall Dual relay(1 way) switch module). The inclusion went fine. I see 4 new devices:
1) Device 10
2) Device 10 (#1)
3) Device 10 (#2)
4) Device 10 (#3)

The problem is that the power sensor for "Device 10" is updated, but the power sensors for "Device 10 (#2)" and "Device 10 (#3)" are never updated.

In the "Device Configuration" I have configured the "N 1 - W meter report period" with the value 1 (= 5 seconds) and the "N 2 - KWH meter report period" with the value 1 (=5 seconds).

I think these configuration settings are only valid for "Device 10" and not for "Device 10 (#1)" to "Device 10 (#3)".

Does anyone know how to set the power meter settings for "Device 10 (#2)" and "Device 10 (#3)"?
