Hardware reference for Z-Uno 2

Post by principia »

I have two Z-Uno 2 boards which are working well. I'm now looking at battery operation and would like to confirm what the expected current consumption will be in the various low power modes. Can I use the information in the data sheet for the ZGM130S https://www.silabs.com/documents/public ... asheet.pdf to guide me for the Z-Uno 2?

I'm also looking to remove R12 from the Z-Uno 2 board - does this isolate the power for 3.3V operation as in the Z-Uno 1?

Thanks

The current board has an issue with power management - it consumes about 200 uA in sleep mode. This is too much. It is a hardware bug. New boards will have this fixed to go up to 10 uA. We can swap your boards (once new ones are produced) if battery consumption will be not acceptable for your battery devices.

Thanks for the update. My target application is remote sensing so battery usage and power management is very important - 200uA is too high, I had budgeted on 25uA. I'll carry on prototyping and not worry about Z-Uno 2 current consumption at this stage. Do you have a planned release date for the revised hardware? I'll probably just purchase additional boards and keep the current ones for software development and reliability testing.
