As I download it this file is not complete either. After the index several pages seem to be missing. Paragraph numbers are drastically changed. It would be good if they put a date/version number on the frontpage.

It is in paragraph 17. Bue too short (we will update it soon). Here is a bit more detailed:
system(command_part1, command_part2, ...), where only command_ need to match one of .syscommands line, and the final executed command in shell would be made from concatenation of all command_partN.
.syscommands should be located in http_root/ folder

But still this document does have an incomplete index of only two pages. The next pages are blank. Then the text starts at page 7.

This information is at odds with the Zway manual which tells me at the end of section 17.1 (page 66)
system(command): executes an external command in shell and returns [ret code, output]. Command should start with one of the lines in http root/storage/.syscommand
