Can't open the setup on port 8084

Post by AlphaX2 »

Hi guys,

I just started with Razberry yesterday and got most of it working, but it's not possible to get the setup working on port 8084. It just tells me, that it couldn't load the page. Normal and expert UI are working as expected via 8083. I've added my devices and can also call API stuff. But not the port 8084.

It's running on a RaspberryPi 2 and there is also a Apache/ownCloud service and Samba running. I already found a thread about problems with Apache2, but as far as I understand it was already fixed in version 1.7.X. I'm running 2.0.2-rc but started with 2.0.1 stable.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure the installation was ok. You can try to run it manually via
/etc/init.d/webif start

Okay something went wrong - this folder just don't exist. Any idea why, or how to fix it? :)

Thank you very much!

I just updated to latest RC, but I could try a complete new installation. If there are some errors, or output I'll post it here.

Thanks.

I've reinstalled everything after deleting all folders and related stuff. Worked well, but there was a error nearly at the end:
Stopping mongoose http server
Adding mongoose to autostart
update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencing
Start mongoose http server
ls: cannot access config/zddx/*.xml: No such file or directory
I've also attached the complete log of the installation (as quote because it seems all extensions like log/txt etc. are not allowed), maybe I've missed something. I also tried to use the generated ID and password (zbw stuff) for login in via https://find.z-wave.me/zboxweb. But tells me also that something went wrong.

Hi again,

here seems something wrong:
/etc/init.d/webif start
because I studied your install script and the webif related tar is not installing a script at /etc/init.d/, also the mongoose webserver is (in my case) not running, and is not starting properly with

Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/mongoose start
(no errors here but

Code: Select all

ps aux | grep mongoose
shows that there is nothing running. It just works if started from

Code: Select all

/usr/sbin/mongoose
but in this case it's not loading any razberry stuff, but starting just a simple server on port 8080. I also tried to pass some arguments, for example the *.conf files that are installed with your webif package. But it's also not working.

Some help would be nice. I'm running out of ideas here. :)

Hi again,

new input to the old story:
after upgrading to Rasbian Jessie, I've had a lot of trouble to get OwnCloud back to work again. The funny part is: the mongoose webserver was the problem, because it was blocking SSL at port 443. As long as he blocked it, RaZberry's settings at <IP>:8084 could be reached.

As far as I see there are just two options: stop Apache2 and start mongoose if you need to modify something for RaZberry, or run the RaZberry stuff with Apache. :)

Any idea for another solution?

Thanks.

I am now a victim of this myself. I was working on rc17 test rig on a new userModule, which required a ZWay restart. I have done that some 6-7 times today.
After the last restart, I could not reach raspberry on port 8084 anymore. A reboot from the console did not help either.
On inspection I noticed that /etc/init.d/webif did not exist.

I have observed on older (possibly less stable versions) that repeated use of ZWay restart via this WebIf eventually led to hang the system. I could not do a cold reboot because of a corrupted disc.
