UZB1 Restore Feature
Is anyone able to enlighten me on the file format required to restore a UZB1 using Z-Way or even if its possible. Basically I have the network topology info but I don't have a working UZB1 to backup, just a new UZB1 and the info and wondered if it is possible to manually create the file so I can the...

UZB1 Backup / Restore
I'm using the UZB1 with Homeseer software. Homeseer supports the backup and restore of 500 series controllers however the Homeseer people say that the UZB1 does not use the standard Sigma functions for these features therefore it does not work.
Can anyone on the .me team comment?

Re: UZB1 Ubuntu - Bad data - communication failed
Thank you PoltoS for taking time to answer the queries here. I can confirm that the UZB1 does not work 100% with Homeseer or OZW but it does work with HomeGenie and Zensys-Tools. When I say it doesn't work 100%. Some functions do work but simple ON-OFF-DIM does not work and appears to lock the seria...

Re: UZB1 Ubuntu - Bad data - communication failed
I've done some more testing today and I have established that the cause of the UZB1 not communicating properly on the serial interface is due to the way the serial port is handled in different software. I'm not a serial comms expert but I do know that things need to be done differently for serial po...

Re: UZB1 Ubuntu - Bad data - communication failed
Just to be clear I'm not trying to use the UZB with Z-Way I'm just testing it with various Windows software. From the product page: This USB Stick connects a PC or any other computing platform with USB interface to a wireless Z-Wave network. A controller software compatible to the Sigma Designs Seri...

Re: UZB1 Ubuntu - Bad data - communication failed
I also read that the UZB1 is not compatible with Z-Way for Windows and I wonder Is this for the same reasons? PoltoS (the man in charge of ZwaveMe) has explained the situation earlier in this thread. Yes I read that there will be new firmware to make the UZB compatible with Z-Way however he doesn't...

Re: UZB1 Ubuntu - Bad data - communication failed
Hi everyone I'm Paul from the UK. I'be been doing home automation for about 10 years and browsing this board for a while and finally decided to join. Unfortunately my first post is regarding a problem with the UZB1 stick which may be related to the discussion here. I've been running the .me USB-C st...
