I am using Linux Mint 17.1, which is based on Ubuntu 14.04. For my case how to uninstall Z-Wave completely?

I have referred to viewtopic.php?f=3419&t=20643 However, the tips are not helpful as those folders do not exist in Ubuntu.

I am using Linux Mint 17.1, which is based on Ubuntu 14.04. For my case, how can I upgrade Z-Wave for future versions? If this requires re-installation, do I need to send stop command to z-wave-server?
