Re: How to execute API commands via HTTP API?
I too am looking for a solution that would allow a 3rd party to communicate with a z-way controller via the Z-WAY API, without having to touch router configurations. I've designed an app that will work with virtual assistants such as Alexa, but the only way my app will work at the moment is for a us...

Re: Alexa (Virtual Assistants) and Zway
Hi, good work. If you get rid with the user/pass in the cloud database, this would be the skill for It's certainly something I wish to avoid. So I'll give it some thought over time. I'm just improving on features and error handling at the moment. I have now integrated an enable/disable button for a...

Re: Alexa (Virtual Assistants) and Zway
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKmX8awWXrs ^ Is a prototype demo which shows how to: Create a z-way configuration Pull in devices Set custom device name (Optional) The rest of the video shows how Alexa finds the devices and a couple of live demonstrations. There are are a number of things I need to...

Re: Alexa (Virtual Assistants) and Zway
Sure thing. I'll try to get some video examples ready for the weekend. I'm currently testing the features I've written to be sure they work correctly and are secure. Once I feel confident enough I'm going to start looking through the Alexa certification process (hopefully there will be no surprises)...

Alexa (Virtual Assistants) and Zway
Hey, I've developed a web service which I aim to offer as a bridge between virtual assistants (Alexa, Google Home etc) and home automation controllers. For now it only supports Alexa and zway. I will be looking for beta testers in the near future, once I've ironed out a few things. I need to get the...

tag device based on icon
Hey, Is there a way to auto tag a device based on it's icon? e.g. I have many multi sensors and it's a bit of a pain to have to manually tag each devices type (temp, hum, lux). The reason I was hoping to achieve an automated solution was because I want to log device values. I'm currently using the o...

Re: List devices in room & Map Element/Device ID to Element
Typical, I may have just answered my own question.
I think the data is located in the following file - /opt/z-way-server/automation/storage/configjson-06b2d3b23dce96e1619d2b53d6c947ec.json

List devices in room & Map Element/Device ID to Element name
Hey, I wish to use the API to get a list of devices within a specific room and I also wish to somehow pull/map an Element/Device ID to the Element Name of the device I set within Z-way. I know how to access the tree via the API - http://IP:8083/ZWaveAPI/Data/0 The problem with the above output is th...

Re: Qubino ZMNHDD1 associations & wrong endpoint numbering
I was about to create a new post asking the exact same question. Did you find a work around? My 2 & 3 inputs are useless to me at the moment, as I have no way of knowing which button was pressed :( I wanted to associate I2 to a Qubino Flush shutter. The association works, but the curtains only o...

Re: 2.2.1 - Unsure if upgrade failed
Gave up and reinstalled OS and z-way which appears to have resolved the issue.
