Re: 4.1.2 Razberry zw0700 error

Now I cant find the PI trough the old or the new network. therefore cannot ssh either. is it possible to connect a pc with r...

Forum suggestion

Can the official announcements be locked so only admins or mods can post? So the topics would be locked as read only and replies would also not be allowed unless it was from an admin or mod. This would keep the official announcements for the intended purpose and not for help posts which would be bet...

Re: Is there a Library available for using a Real Time Clock shield

3. Are there any cheaper alternatives? 845$ is a lot of money. It isn't $845. You want to buy the USB 2.0 to TTL UART 6PIN Module Serial Converter CP2102, not the other device listed at the top which is an ad for a different device. The device you want is $5.75. https://electronics.stackexchange.co...

Re: Firmware upgrades when using ZWave JS

Yes. The integration just needs an API/token key and the IP address and port used for management. I generated a long lived token just for HA.

Re: Firmware upgrades when using ZWave JS

Did you try the Z-Way docker add-on for Home Assistant? I have that running on 5 systems. Go here: https://z-wave.me/z-way/download-z-way/ Scroll down to the Home Assistant portion and add the add-on. This will be Z-Way in a docker running under Home Assistant OS. Then you can use the integration to...

Re: Alexa interface app to query the status of binary devices

It seems like the better solution would be to use the Z-Way Docker under Home Assistant which does support a voice interface. They have their own as well as Alexa but you need Home Assistant Cloud.

Re: Z-Wave update speed

Z-Wave is chatty to begin with. When something is sent, an ACK needs to be sent back. That is how it is known that what was sent was received. You can certainly have something reporting every second, but it also depends on your network. Z-Wave is half duplex; so only one device can talk at a time. T...

Re: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: ELF load command address/offset not page-aligned

If you want to go down the Home Assistant route, here are the Raspberry Pi instructions: https://www.home-assistant.io/installation/raspberrypi/ You use the Raspberry Pi imager. After it is installed, you can just plug and unplug the card reader to mount it so you can make the changes to config.text...

Re: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: ELF load command address/offset not page-aligned

I would think at some point that Z-Way will be 64-bit even though the benefit would be minimal. Performance would not be visible seen, nor would file sizes, RAM, etc. be noticed. If someone is running an original Raspberry Pi, they got their use out of it and to run newer programs means it would be ...

Re: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: ELF load command address/offset not page-aligned

I don't believe Z-Way is a 64-bit program or parts of it are not. I remember something from PoltoS and the remote access portion was not 64-bit. While there are 32-bit and 64-bit binaries, if an application is only 32-bit then it cannot use the 64-bit binary and thus you need to have both installed....
