I managed to resolve this issue by updating the device setting mapBasicSetToSpecificReport=true.
Contact sensor updates were then interpreted as instance0.SensorBinary updates.

Most likely you need to enable the option to "accept report commands without encryption" Thanks. The devices are insecure, but I tried changing the security level for reports but that didn't make any difference. The temperature and battery reports still work fine. I can see the contact se...
