Re: Z-Wave.Me future (discussion)
Hey @PoltoS,
thanks for the info. That is an interesting development.
Since the smarthome UI will not be actively developed anymore I'll probably switch to home assistent with Z-Way integration with my RazBerry 7 Pro.
Can I make a backup of my current Z-Way installation and restore it in a new HAOS + Z-Way addon installation?
So i can use my existing automation rules at the beginning? Is the Z-Way addon even the right choice ? Will it be maintained in the future or is it recommend to use Z-WaveJS instead and start from scratch?
What about the announced NFC reader: https://z-wave.me/products/nfcreader/ Is there any chance this product will be released?

I was not able to do a restore from standalone Z-Way to the Add-On version. If you're not using any rules and such or care about the rules, the devices will be rediscovered as the controller still knows of them.
The issue I ran into, after a restore the controller was no longer visible even though it was configured. Wipe the Z-Way configuration )not the controller) and the controller can be seen again.

@PoltoS
Will there be new Razberry board based upon the Trident hardware?

Re: Z-Wave.Me future (discussion)
Will the be a new z-station with z-wave 800 any time son?
how will the z-wave device support be on this new platform? (sucks when only basic stuff work)
will this platform support homeassistant like z-wave does?
meaning today i can either plugin my z-station direkt to home assistant or do as i do today and run a z-wave.me server and controll it from HA

@aLiEnHeAd ZWaveJS offers a better integration with HA. We will continue to maintain the SmartHome UI for at least a year to define it's future meanwhile. So far you are safe. We will make the transition as comfortable as it is possible for you.
We are searching for a partner to pick it up and finalize. I also like this product and want it at my home
You can do a restore from one Z-Way to another, but you might need to adopt port names first. The rest is simple.
@lanbrown No, Trident IoT is a chip maker, but there will be hardware on Trident IoT chips soon and it will be compatible with Z-Way.
@seiken We are working to port Z-Wave.Me features to Trident IoT.

@PoltoS when can we expect the final FW 7.47+? My controller is showing continuous errors under zwave js ui. Thanks for your support in the past years. You did a great job.
Re: Z-Wave.Me future (discussion)
Will Zwave.me consider releasing a standard/non-proprietary Zwave bootloader/firmware so that the Z-Station and other zwave.me hardware can be FULLY used with Zwave js and other controllers?
Re: Z-Wave.Me future (discussion)
@thaui What do you expect from this 7.47? The last one will contain EU LR (with new frequencies). SiLabs is not making new SDKs for 7th branch.
@JasonJoel not sure you it is not fully usable now. There are no disabled functions from standard firmware in ZME firmware.
We were considering making such firmware and bootloader, but it is associated with one-way only reflashing and full loss of data. Most users won't go that way
