EU Long Range

Post by N2641D »

I've been trying to get EU Long Range working for several weeks now without success. I have set up two Raspberry Pi devices and tested multiple Z-Way versions on both systems.

Hardware Setup:
Device A: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5, 8GB RAM
Device B: Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.0, 8GB RAM
Both equipped with RaZberry 7 Pro (Firmware: 7.42)

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (Bookworm 64-bit, fully updated)

Z-Way Versions Tested:
z-way-4.1.4_armhf (Z-Wave.me)
z-way-5.0.1-189-gaaed0424_armhf (Z-Wave.me)
v5.0.2-227-g28ff3ab9 (TridentIoT)

I've observed no issues in behavior between the two Raspberry Pi systems across any of these Z-Way versions.

Steps Taken:
Enabled the Long Range option on both RaZberry devices via https://z-wave.me/hardware-capabilities
Verified the checkmarks appear in z-way-4.1.4 Expert UI (Network → Controller Info)

Note: The TridentIoT versions no longer display this option list

Issue:
In Expert UI's Network → Control menu, "EU Long Range" appears as the operating frequency, but only EU, RU, IN, and CN can actually be selected. Switching to Debug Mode in Network → Controller Info doesn't change this.
Both the Z-Wave.me and TridentIoT versions display the error message: "Long Range is not supported or not enabled in your hardware" (in Network → Control for Z-Wave.me versions, and in Smart Start/Long Range menu for TridentIoT versions).

What am I missing?
Thanks for any assistance.
