No Zwave devices found on network

Post by helpme »

Dear Z-wave experts,

I am totally new to Z-wave. Just got a Razberry today and am pretty excited to get started. I got the Razberry working on http://<ip_addr>:8083/ as the Controller Info can be seen. However, under network information, no devices are present.

I have 2 Zwave devices with me - http://www.philio-tech.com/pdf/PAN11.pdf and http://www.philio-tech.com/pdf/PSM02-1-2-3.pdf.

What are the things I need to do to get the Zwave devices appear on the Razberry network?

My Zwave devices are operating in the EU frequency of 868.42Mhz. How do I check and make sure that Razberry is operating in the same frequency?

Is it necessary to add the Zwave devices one by one into the network? Do I need to press certain button on the device so that it can be added?

Thank you for your patience.

It is usually written on the crystal near the chip, so if you haven't changed it in the UI, it will be sufficient.
You couldn't tell the current frequency from software, but you can force one to be set. It can be done from the Expert UI.

Yes it is.

It is device-specific. Refer to your devices' manuals, they should describe how to include the particular device. Usually it is a function button pressed 2 or 3 times quickly, but sometimes it is a dedicated button.
Note that you should first start inclusion or exclusion (in the Expert UI, network management page) before pressing button on device.

Also, don't make the same mistake I did, I needed the device abnormally close to my razberry, 1 foot.
