I'm trying to install a new device (my first), it's a Fibaro universal sensor.
I start the inclusion via the z-way interface, push the "B" button 3 times & it is found, then it goes to "Consiguring device please wait ... and that's as far as it gets.
I've uploaded the logs http://pastebin.com/w5RBGgWA, including the bit where I excluded it after the last attempt to add it. (I couldn't add a .log file to the post, it wouldn't allow that extension, or .txt, or no extension at all)
I'm running the device off a 9V battery at the moment on my bench while I get it all set up, I notice 9V is the minimum voltage, could that be effecting it?
If I browse back to the UI after a while, it does list the device & it's sensor (2 buttons & 3 "sensors") but I can't get the buttons to register an event when I trigger them, I'm assuming this is down to the problem setting it up though.
What should I try next?

You could try to include in the expert mode.

Is there something that the expert mode does differently?

I've tried with a 12v wall-wart PSU and I still get the same problem.

Hi,
Go to expert view - here you see the progress in device status.
You can get the interview results - and try to finalize the missing points.
Don't forget that device must be woken up, if it is battery powered (Not in your case).

I've tried that Michael, I tried to run the two tests that failed individually, but they still didn't complete.michap wrote:Hi,

Hi,
have you connected temperature sensors?
What interview part is missing (you see it in details)?

No, there are no temp. sensors attached.

Friends:
I bought a Fibaro motion sensor for testing and I keep it on my desk.
It works fine with my Nexia bridge, but I have never been able to get it to complete more than four of the interview steps in Expert mode.
I usually give it a kick to wake it up before trying to interview it. It is ten feet from the bridge and five feet from three other Z-wave devices.
I haven't tried excluding and including again. This is what support advised me to do for the last few devices that won't complete the interview. All of these devices working fine with Nexia.

PS. The two biggest problems with the Nexia system are that they allow only limited scripting and customization and there is no backup function in the bridge even though they have all the data on their portal. I know this because my bridge failed and I had to exclude and the include a lot of devices. Their support department was very supportive,

Excluding and including is a good advice if you move from one installation to another. Sometimes this is also useful for "new" devices you bought. In some cases re-include only may help with a partially failed device.bshure wrote: I haven't tried excluding and including again.
