Raspberry PIR and other devices

Hi.
I'm pondering using a cheap Raspberry PIR and possible some old ibuttons I got lying about for my current project.
What I wonder is if these would show up just as Z-wave adapters and sensors in Z-way, or if you need to write adapters yourself for it.
Anyone already traveled this road and got some thoughts to share?

I would not expect the ibuttons to show up since it doesn't talk ZWave. With that said they do make zWave devices that also incorporates ibutton technology. Zwave.me has amble developer documentation, that would allow someone with a modest developer background to interface outside "ibutton" actions with Zwave events, or vise versa. Plenty of PIR devices for ZWave on the market.
