Delays in associations and noise source

Post by captador »

Hello,

Associations supposed to be the fastest (milliseconds) way to connect devices. It is quite a basic setup and proved to be working fine.

For association, the devices should be in direct "visibility" and link test via expert mode should be green.

Under these conditions, what would be a reason for fluctuated (from immediate to 10sec) delay between devices which are in 1m distance?

My suspect is a noise in general, however I am quite unaware of possible noise sources besides Z-wave network itself as mostly Zniffer shows -88dBm. Is it realistic that z-wave traffic from 5 aeotec multisensors (most talkative devices) influence the noise that much?

Usually delays are caused by sending a command to some other device. So check your association group if there is some other device.

Also check that the device can reach the controller (for the LifeLine group).

Noise -88 is okey.
