Portable RPI with RaZberry

Hi Guy's,

Not sure if anyone's mentioned (or done this), but I have a new addition to my RPI with RaZberry, a portable PSU.

This, combined with a nano wifi dongle, mean's I can roam around the property (which is too large for direct comms) for inclusion/exclusion of device's without interrupting the comms and/or server.

Working great :)

An I'm still using the RPI/RaZ combination as remote hardware (z-way reside's in the BMS Link VM), so the RPI load is minimal.

Thanks for reading.

Neil

I use a UPiS, see http://www.pimodules.com/ (and I just received the updated Pico HAT version a couple of weeks ago).

I want to find out how to write a library to talk directly to the i2c hardware from Z-Way but my other post has not been answered.

Did the PICO HAT version of the UPIS just work stacked with the Razpberry?

I'm kind of new to the whole hat thing and just want confirmation before buying.

Cheers

Yes, just remove the serial port jumpers to allow the serial port to be used by a stacked board. You'll have to remove the RaZberry and put the serial jumpers back when you want to update the firmware.
