Binary switch status

I have a binary switch that does not send its status to the controller when turned on/off manually. How can I enable polling of status for this particular device? I tried to enable the SensorsPolling, but it did not work because the switch is not a sensor. Is there an option to enable status polling?

what is the brand/type of switch

It is the GE/Jasco 45609 Z-Wave Wireless Lighting Control.

hah, I did not see that. It worked, I didn't realize it was updating NIF as opposed to its status.
