Frequency difference

Post by mr.dj26 »

Hello guys,

I'll be moving to a new house soon, I want to install some z-wave products(switches, locks, sensors) but I'm a bit concerned about the frequencies and I would appreciate your help.

I live in the UAE and I checked the frequency. It is 868.4 MHz and 869.85 MHz EN 300 220.(from google)
1. How can I tell the frequency of the product? I can't find them in any product description(amazon)
2. If the frequency was higher will it work? and if if it does will it cause any interference between the other switches?
3. Whats the best controller? Im looking at vera edge, what do you think?

Thanks

If you don't match the frequency it will not work. You are right, most e-tailers don't write the frequency but there is a simple test. If its sold in Europe, its 868,4,if its sold in US is 908 MHz
