Simplest way to setup thermostat schedule

I've been playing around quite a bit to find how to do schedules with thermostat. For the moment, it seems not very obvious.
I have all my thermostats (1 air cool and 3 thermostats) in my network. Controlling them works fine.
However, now I would like to simply program the values based on events/time. I've found that ThermostatControl is made exactly for this. However, after setting it up, it does not seem to work properly, as i get cryptic error messages in the alerts section.
This seems overy complex for such a basic thermostat feature. What is the simplest way to program your thermostat with zway?
