Renting a gite, I am regularly confronted to clients letting the electric heating on, while opening doors and windows.

Could you tell me which is the basic system from Z-wave, able to handle door/windows opening sensors, and activate a power relay to switch on/off existing heaters ? There are so many products that I get lost...

Maybe you the "Advanced Virtual Thermostat" module might be a solution. This module acts as an ordinary thermostat (processing temperature readings from a sensor and switching an actor), but optionally also inhibits heating when binary sensors report open windows/doors.

Thanks. I searched "advanced Virtual Thermostat" on the Z-wave site, but no answer. Also, which sensors should I use for this thermostat ?
