Control room thermostats with multilevel switch

Post by klausomania »

Hi !

I'm pretty new to the z-wave.me community , but I already have a seemingly easy problem that I am not able to fix myself. Any help is highly appreciated :)

The devices I have includes in the network:
- 2 themrostats that regulate the heating in two different rooms
- 1 multilevel switch Danfoss Link RS

What already works:
I can manually change the setpoint of the 2 thermostats in the zway GUI, and also time schedules work nicely

What doesn't work:
I want to set the setpoint of the thermostats by using the Danfoss multilevel switch. The switch already reports its setpoint to the zway server and also its current temperature. Until now I didn't find any app that allows me to couple the Danfoss setpoint to the setpoint of the two thermostats.

Condensed Question:
How do I make the Danfoss setpoint also the setpoint for the 2 thermostats, so that they regulate on the temperature that is set on the Danfoss Link RS?

Thank your for your help in advance!!

Try out the Association Module.

Thanks for the reply!
Where do I find this module? I was looking for it in Apps, where I found other modules , but I didn't find anything called assoiation module.

May be you have filter enabled on app list. If I open app list, there is alway a filter active. I have to click on on the funnel icon, then "all apps" and then i can see second app in the list named "Association". With "typical recycle" icon.

I found it! It was called Device and Element Association.
Unfortunately it can only trigger devices on event basis. So if you have a switch that is switched from 0 to 1 than u can switch another device from 0 to 1. But as far as I can see, you cannot associate setpoints :(
Any other ideas?

Hm, it works for me. I have Danfoss thermostat LC-13. But only one device. I created a dummy device as multilevel dimmer, associated via mentioned Association App and if i change Dummy Device, the heating point by danfoss changed too. In other direction does it work too.

which version of z-way do you have?

May be you can associate your devices via expert gui, there is also a possibility to associate devices on z-wave level.
