Event history on the devices

Hello forum
It is with great pleasure, that now after a considerable effort, i see my devices start to report.
I do not have anything yet to control, but i have Door/window units, smoke alarm, and flood alarm.
I now see every time a door or window has been opened - great
How long time is this history kept, because i do not want to flood the rasperry memory card
Is there a way to control the max history - log rotate and zip old history?
(and as a bonus - i believe there is a v3 in the pipeline. If so - any forecast for planned release day?)
