Hello!

I try to run zipgateway by using Z-Wave.Me UZB controller. I followed all the steps but finally got an error:

Code: Select all

$ cat /tmp/zipgateway.log
10062 Opening config file /usr/local/etc/zipgateway.cfg
Starting Contiki
Opening eeprom file /usr/local/var/lib/zipgateway/eeprom.dat
Lan device tap0
LAN HW addr C6:C3:6F:84:FA:05
10063 Starting zipgateway ver2_81.00_RC8 build ver2_81.00_RC8
10063 Resetting ZIP Gateway
10063 Using serial port /dev/zwave
 SerialAPI: Z-Wave library version : 4.61
SerialAPI: Z-Wave library type : Static controller
SerialAPI: Z-Wave dongle MUST be a Bridge library
10075 Error opening serial API
10075 Fatal error
At the same time the product description says:
Smallest Z-Wave USB stick in the market +++ Supports Security S2 and Smart Start +++ Firmware for static controller or bridge (Z/IP) +++ Allows changing frequencies with software
How can I fix it?

Install Z-Way and go to Expert UI to run firmware upgrade to the Bridge firmware

@PoltoS Thank you for your reply. Could you help me and show how to do that? I open 'Expert UI' and do not see anything which looks like 'Bridge firmware'. Could you give me path in menu, screenshot or ULR where I can get this functionality? P.s. Should I have Z-Way licence for doing this action?

No license needed for that. Go to Network>Controller Info>Firmware upgrade. Upgrade bootloader then firmwares. You should see bridge at some point.

Use latest v2.3.8-rc4 for this.

And finally I returned to the problem of updating Z-Wave.Me UZB. I described my problem in other thread but I think it is related issues. Seems that the firmware is still outdated. Any ideas?
