I am using v.2.3.8 and by mistake I added vacation to the 'disarming' alarm action - no matter what i try I cannot remove it, does anyone know how to clear the security settings so I can start fresh - or better just to actually clear the item I added?

Could you show some screenshots so we can reproduce it?
Or provide a backup to test it on our side

I have the same problem with v.2.3.8 , now after upgrade to v3.0.4 the problem still exist, is not solved.

As you see, I can not remove or configure the device.
