UZB upgrade issues

Hi guys,
I'm facing some problems when I want to figure it out what step should I make to upgrade my stick.

Code: Select all

root@raspberrypi:~/ZMESerialUpdater/arm# ./ZMESerialUpdater serialapi_uzbupdate -d /dev/ttyACM0 | grep -E "(FREQ|VERSION)"
                 VERSION:  05 19  VENDOR:  01 15
                    FREQ:  EU
In that graphical view of update steps i'm clicking on the grey bubble for UZB/5.19/29304 I get an json file that contains:

Code: Select all

"fileURL": "UPD_FIRMWARE_UZB500_from__05_13__to__05_17.bin",
      "released": "2017-05-19",
      "comment": "Update from 5.19 to 5.23",
Using wget and update command I'm able to successfully upgrade the stick using "UPD_FIRMWARE_UZB500_from__05_13__to__05_17.bin" firmware
The problem is that after updating the firmware i get the same output:
VERSION: 05 19 VENDOR: 01 15
FREQ: EU

What i'm doing wrong or i'm missing?

Make sure the bootloader CRC is 29304 (dec).

Better use Z-Way to do the upgrade

I thought I need a license for installing Z-way. It is possible to use it in trial mode? I don't plan to use this software other then what you said - my plan was to use the stick attached to a Raspberry PI running Home Assistant

Upgrade is possible without a license. And in the new v3.0.0 there is a Demo button - you can test Z-Way before buying it.

@PoltoS I've followed your indication about upgrading UZB from Z-way without success: I was only able to install Z-way v2.3.8 (upgrading to newer 3.0 ends up without being able to logon on web page) and I cannot see any new firmware for the stick: "Your stick uses the latest firmware".
You said I need to make sure it has the bootloader CRC at 29304 but mine doesn't look nothing near that:

Code: Select all
