unresponsive smarthome

We are upgrading our network of Razberry Zwave due to issues of stability and responsiveness. The background is we have 40 pi's running about 400 elements, we shall be doubling these numbers to 80 and 800 respectively. We are using the Pi3 B with the latest HAT and software version. We were pleased to see that the Smarthome gateway had been updated and the functions extended. We download your user manual, and have printed copies. However, we encountered issues downloading and installing the latest version of z.way, eventually we succeeded. We then started to explore the software and encountered system issues of freezing / unresponsive requiring a reboot. We set up a test unit and included a few devices, however, the system did't recognize that they were allocated to the dashboard. We created a test scene and wish to edit the functions and devices and the system is not allowing us to see any details of devices or functions. During our time exploring the system, it constantly freezes and our work is lost. You can imagine that with 40 devices to configure it is some what frustrating. We were trying to move away from using the expert functionality and make the system more accessible to staff. This might appear to be general grip, but we do wish to provide feedback so these issues can be resolved, so we and other users can quickly and simply setup a Zwave zone.
