Post by MrRusch »

I think I know the answer but - is it possible to run Z-way-server on FreeBSD?

You know it ;)

I think during the 7 years we do C/C++ version of Z-Way you are the first to ask this.... a VM with Linux won't help you?

Haha, maybe an odd question then.. But after having my RPi SD card corrupted for the X:ed time, I'm starting to look into alternative platforms.
But anyway thanks for the response. FreeBSD idea was to explore possibility of running it as jail on FreeNAS, so VM would be overkill. But then I know it's not possible - I will consider other options.

Can boot the pi off of an external SSD. (I do that) or indeed VM is the best way to go (I do that too). So as to not make it feel like overkill, the VM runs a bunch of other things...
