Thank you PoltoS!

I've sent to you a PM with the requested information.

Just one weird thing (one more): I've started the RPi for your request and today the bootloader CRC is 64651 (FC8B) instead the usual 29304 (7278) I had previous days. I don't know if this could mean something to you.
I disconnected and connect the dongle again and CRC goes to 7278 again.

And my last finding. Again, no idea if it could lead to you to any conclusion. dmesg shows some "device descriptor read/64, error -32". No idea about its meaning

Code: Select all

[ 1271.686555] usb 1-1.5: new full-speed USB device number 9 using dwc_otg
[ 1271.786585] usb 1-1.5: device descriptor read/64, error -32

Please, any hint on this?

Having the dongle in such status makes all my home automations useless. Is it a brick? Is there a solution? Should I buy a new one?

Will restore to factory default helps somehow to go back to the original 5.02 firmware with EU frequencies? Maybe restoring a backup I did will help to revert to the old FW? I don't want to try without confirmation just to avoid to mess up the dongle even more that it is already but if it could help, let me know please.

Thank you

Hi,

Anything have changed about the issue ?
I’m encountering the exact same thing .

I also encountered JP frequency switch issue ( from EU) during the upgrade journey before being stuck with boot loader 29304/7278.

Thank you in advance ,

Regards

Hi, i was already able to go back to EU frequency scheme.
The issue is that i cannot update the boot loader version ( blocked with 29304 version ).

Can you please help me and tell me which boot loader and firmware file i should use to upgrade to 5.37 firmware from 5.23 firmware/29304 boot loader ?

Thank you in advance for your help !
