Z-Uno Module 2?

Post by JasonJoel »

Now that the Z-Uno 2 is coming out, will there be a Z-Uno MODULE 2 in the future?

While the Z-Uno 2 is great for single applications, the Module is the form factor I prefer both due to size and cost.

Any predictions/updates for a Module2?

I like the z-uno 2, but I like the price and size of the module form factor more.

;)

We already have samples and almost finished the testbed for production tests and firmware upload. But more urgent projects are distracting us from the module production.

We will have three versions with antenna output in form of
  • a 50 Ohm pin,
  • a hole for a 86 mm wire,
  • a u.fl connector
Which would you prefer?

Wow! That is better news than I expected.

In general I like u.fl connectors as size usually isn't my #1 concern, but when looking for a smaller footprint a hole for wire antenna is my next choice (although 81.9mm for me - US frequency).

I hope all is going well, and am glad things are still moving forward! I see the z-uno2 is in stock at amazon right now so I will go grab one of those in the meantime to play with. It is just hard for me to justify making more than 1 or 2 devices at the price point of the z-uno.

The module, on the other hand, historically was cheap enough and small enough to rationalize using for various things! I'm hoping to make a case with 2xAAA batteries for power. I'm willing to sacrifice some size for more battery capacity.

I assume the module will only be sold in quantity (like rolls of 100 or something?).

BTW, we still have some Z-Uno 1 modules in stock. We can sell a bulk number at a good price ;)

We plan to make Z-Uno 2 Modules available in qty starting from 1 piece. Hope in Q3 we do it.

Could I know the price for the bulk order of Z-Uno? And how much a bulk means ?
