Fibaro Dimmer 2/Wall Plug Command classes

Post by PerH »

I see that my Fibaro Dimmer 2 and Wall plug devices use Command Class 49 for "Power" readings, while the electric meter at command class 50 is reading -1Watts.. The "kWh" electric meter works as usual

I asked Fibaro about this, and they are pointing the finger at the Gateway..

Is this because of a mis-interpretation by Z-Way, or is it the device that is choosing CC 49?

Please provide more info and show logs where Wattage is updated in the UI. I'm pretty sure Z-Way is not to blame ;)

This is how it appears. The kWh is updated correctly though..

Ah, got you. In Z-Wave there are historically two ways to report W - in Meter (which is not really good as meter is a cumulative value) and via Sensor Multilevel (which is better). New devices uses the latter one, but still have the former for legacy purposes. Not sure why Fibaro is not reporting for one of them, but just disable it and don't forget about it - you have the other one
