newbie here so please forgive my basic question but I did try a google search first

Guys - does anybody have practical experience with zwave 700 battery life vs 500? I know it's tough to answer that given 700 has only been out a short time

Also, do 700 series sensors enjoy higher battery life in a mixed environment too with other 500 sensors? I know it'll force to use the lower denomination of 500 but will 700 sensors still get the higher battery life?

If it is about buying a controller, buy 7th gen to support in future nice features like Long Range. If it is about a device, it does not really matter. 700th gen looks better in power consumption, but not sure it matters that much
