I can definitely testify to the importance of knowing at least the basic Linux shell commands. The OS is just set up in such a way that using the terminal is many times more powerful than using the GUI elements.

So I started with a clean formatted SD card install 64 bit Linux OS // from this forum downloaded 3.05 and get this error

Failed to install file

A package could not be found that allows the action to complete.
More information is available in the detailed report.

Any idea what to do now?

64-bit OS is not supported. You would need to install the relevant 32-bit packages required by Z-Way or just use a 32-bit OS. The 32-bit OS imsage is the easier solution.

Update, did a clean Raspberry Pi 32bit OS and installed 3.2.3 with a Razberryme 7

Did a factory reset for a outlet got in programmed to see this outlet can turn on or off via on-screen but the same issue if I turn on or off outlet via button on outlet (outside of on-screen) doesn't see my state either on or off of that device.

Ok so old system Razberryme 2, Raspberry 32bit OS and older Razberryme software (but not sure what before 3.2.3) worked prior to 3.2.3
New setup clean Raspberry 32bit OS new RazberryMe 7 with what's new (read to only Software that I can install via website to download .deb software on Raspberry) will doesn't work either.

Does this work the way I need or did something change no-one is having the same issue?

Is it still about the device state not being updated correctly? Please show the log when you change the state (/var/log/z-way-server.log)

Confused here sorry The last of z-wave-server.log. Using a kitchen ceiling light switch but never see a change in log? Switching on or off via on-screen.

Hi,
It is further back in the log.
You have just shown the last 0.5 seconds of the log.
Try again! Need the log at the time you turned the outlet on !

You still haven't answered..
It got milk spilt, assumed dead.
How did you recover with a new z-way board ?
Did you restore a backup ?
Did you Add all devices again as new ?

Yup killed the old board Razberryme 2

Yes have a new Razberryme 7 board

Did you restore a backup ?
No since I think it had some issues since I know I had 2.3.8 before. I redid all devices 17 and all IF/THEN statements 5 total and 8 timers.

Did you Add all devices again as new ?
Yes but needed to replace my Tree light think since I can't get that to work Nortek FS20Z-1 to work on the new board.
Don't know if doesn't work with the new board or software or the fact it's been outside not getting wet but salt air somewhat may killed it also.
Don't know for sure what the issue is what that.

So going to replace that what a Leviton DZ15S switch since I have many of those now. Will have that outside in a outside electrical box to work those lights.

Nice.
You are correct, Rebuilding an old build as you had before should work.
Can't explain why it doesn't work.

I also have issues with 3.2.3 and Pro 7 with if/then (Rules in new terms)
Basic on-off works. Complex Rules get ignored. It won't switch 2 devices.

Have you got some logs of when it fails ?
