Help with Z-way software setup/install

I bought a Z-Way.Me UZB usb stick and intended to use it with Z-Way software on Windows. I have the latest version installed 3.2.1 on Windows 10, I have the driver installed for the USB stick and I'm trying to configure the software but I'm running into issues.

First trying to install remote access, I get a message that it can't initialize remote access data and to deactivate/reactivate the remote access app.



I have done that but it's not working. I think it might have something to do with this line about the absolute path to ZBWConnect but I have no idea what that path is.



And then I though I would install the HomeKitGate app since I ultimately want to connect devices to HomeKit in the first place (was going to use the Home Assistant integration originally) but Z-Way is barking about announcing a DNS record.



I'm hoping some of the folks here could help me get this sorted out so that I can get my z-wave device connected and integrated into either Home Assistant or HomeKit.

Remote access is not yet officially supported, but you can install the pre-release of the remote access service. It was published on the forum


As for the Homekit, i believe it is an issue with your firewall

ok so I did a new installation from scratch and followed the instructions you linked. I can connect locally and through https://find.z-wave.me/zboxweb so it appears that remote access is working but when I try to add to hoem assistant I get the following message

Ok, that's fine. I ended up getting a license for the software because I'm using a UZB and didn't know I needed one. Now I started pairing my device. My device, an inovelli fan/light switch does not want to finish pairing. It gets most of the way through then it says to retry som failed interviews which I do, and then the inclusion gets to 98% and fails.

Is there some trick to this or something different I have to do to get this set up?
