Hi,

today I upgraded from 4.1.0 to 4.1.4. After the upgrade it is not possible to connect to the webserver, lynx/firefox or telnet, all are refused. In /var/log/z-way-server there are no stansas from any activity after the upgrade, just lines about starting the different parts. The last line is about starting the webserver and handlers, then nothing.
I have reinstalled with clean /opt folder but it does not help.

Running debian sid on a raspberry 2.
service z-way-server status shows it as running
No changes to the router have been done.
ssh to the raspberry works

Any ideas on where to look?

1) explicit check IP-adress, after my upgrade including OS I got two new ip's one for LAN and a different one for WiFi it confused me!
2) check firewalls and your security settings in your gateways.

I did use the correct IP address, trying to connect both from the local host as well as IP and name. There was a reply on port 8084 for something else related to z-wayserver, so it is responding.
All connections are from inside the firewall, even local to the raspberry pi.

Correction from original post: The OS is not debian sid, but raspbian.

Did you do a complete new start?
Or try netstat to see which ports are open?
As you wrote from port 8084, just to make sure, you connect to "IPaddress:8083"

Something has got corrupt.
Not worth the time trying to fix it
don't bother with /opt folder.
go for a new build with 4.1.4
then restore you settings from the backup.
Easy peasy.

After reinstallation all is working again.

I have a similar issue; upgraded to v4.1.4 this morning and now I get ”An unexpected error occurred during loading data. Try to reload the page”, while trying to direct connect to z-wave.me from home on the same network. When reloading the page it just goes black and says ”the web browser cannot open the page since it could not connect to the server”.
If I instead try to connect remotely by using remote id, login and password, it says ”remote access not possible or wrong password ”.
I have rebooted the raspberry and I have also shut it off and removed the power connection for 10 minutes, without improvement.
It is connected to the network according to my network app, and it seems to still control the lights automatically.

Do I need to reinstall also? If so, how do I save and restore my settings in a backup? These settings, do they include the ”interviews” with the z-wave units and these results, i.e. do I have to set up all z-wave units again?

I am a newbie to Linux and raspberry. I have just set this up using the guides, and then used the z-wave.me UI. It has been working for a couple of years, but know this happened.
