Home Automation - Poll sensors periodically

Post by pz1 »

I tried to poll the temperature sensors of the Fibaro Universal Sensor (FUS) FGBS-0001 with this module Poll sensors periodically. I did set up thise module to not only poll the FUS temperature sensors (devices 13 and 15), but also the temperature sensors of the StellaZ thermostats (devices 11,22,23,24,25) Polling interval is set to 10 minutes. Results are in the table below:

The values for the radiator thermostats are done correctly. The diferences in time stamps there are due to wake up delays of these battery driven devices.

The binary sensors (#1 and #2) of FUS devices 13 and 15 more or less follow the 10 minute poll interval. However the temperature sensors (#3-#6) have not been polled since I manually updated them at 10:31.

That seems strange; the binary sensors are not included in the list of sensors to be polled, yet they apparantly are updated. None of the FUS sensors were updated before I configured this module.

Can anyone tell me why Poll sensors periodically does not see the temperature sensors from the Fibaro as stated in my original post?

Are these valves stella z's? then I'm quite impressed you are getting those polled. My devices do not seem to be relaying their actual temperature values. Mind you all have I done is include them. Is there something else you have to do with them?

The valves are all Stella Z. I now have ten of them installed. Those do function without problem with the polling module.
PS: At the moment I do not poll them from within OpenRemote with the OpenRemoteHelper module. I think RaZberry can't handle the frequent status requests for my switches, which Imust issue every 2s or so, to get a decent response on the OR screen. I would like to push status updates from RaZberry to OpenRemote, but unfortunately their REST inteface only allows commands, but no statusses :(

can I ask how your radio coverage is and what you have done to fix this?. After a while all my radio devices report back as dead and including them also seems more difficult that using a Aeon S2 stick. Having a couple of plug routers seems to work well but still they report as dead after a while.

Below is my routing table. Nrs 2-7 are binary switches; nrs 11, 16-25 are StellaZ; nrs 13-15 are Fibaro Universal Sensor; nrs 27-43 are Aeotec range extenders. Nr 1 is RaZberry. Device nr 15 is performing badly, because it is located in an adjacent building (but actually doing quite well considering the distance)
