I have a raspberry pi B+ with sister board for zwave. I have everything installed, go to the port 8083 address, click on expert mode go, I receive error "error handling data from server". I can go the port 8083 address, click on "z-way home automation ui" it works fine and displays the dashboard. I believe I need expert mode to configure all my z-wave devices with a gui interface. I just ran the update for the zwave component but that does not fix anything. I have rebooted the raspberry pi several times. I have updated Debian.
Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?
zwave expert mode displays error
Re: zwave expert mode displays error
You need to enable Z-Wave binding module (Preferences->Modules->Peripherals->Z-Wave)
Re: zwave expert mode displays error
I have the same set up (new B+, new GPIO board). Installed v 2.0, and got "Can not start Z-Wave binding: Error: Bad data - communication failed" in the HA interface.
I swapped the new GPIO board out for one that I already have, and things started to work. So I concluded that the new board is defective and am returning it.
