Simple automation

Post by Rappo »

Hi.

I need to set up a test that turns off the powerswitch (device 1) IF there is no motion (device 2) AND IF there is less than 100 watts beeing used on the powerswitch.

I have the Razberry set up with Zway server v2.0.0-rc20
I have tried using the Home Automation System, but this is not ready yet according to people at Z-wave.me
I am now trying to fiddle around with z-way-mini-ui-master. I am not 100% comfortable. :?

Can anyone please point me in the right direction for creating av javascript that will help me do this?
I am a newbie when it comes to linux, razberry and zway.

If someone could give me a detailed receipe I would be extremely happy. For the right person and the right solution I might be willing to pay for help with this.

regards

Have you tried Logical rule?
I was at least able to set conditions "on" for a door sensor, a value <100 for the Watts flowing through my Fibaro Wall switch, and finally the action Switch of the same power switch.
I haven't tested. So I am curious why that wouldn't that work.
You may try rc24, which is close to the official release.

Thanks.

I tried the logical rule in HA on 1.7.3, but that did not support PowerLevel.
After upgrading to 2.0.0rc20 the HA was full of bugs.

I will check out rc24 tomorrow morning.

Well, It upgraded to rc28 and got it to work with Logical Rule. :)

However, getting updates from a motion detector takes approxemately 3-4 minutes. So I need to do some tuning.
Any hints as to where/how I can get an immidiate update from the detector will be welcomed :)

Yes, I got the Logical Rule to work. I believe the reason for me not getting it to work the first time was the fact that the HA gui was acting a bit weird combined with me being a newbie.
