Hello @PoltoS
I want to use ZMESerialUpdater because it's a single simple binary, i don't want to use the whole Z-Way stack.
My Raspberry Pi has only docker installed and a container running https://github.com/zwave-js/zwavejs2mqtt.
The reason i want to use zwavejs2mqtt is to consolidate all my sensors to MQTT.
I see no need to waste time and resources installing Z-Way just to upgrade the firmware and then uninstall it.
I was very happy when i saw ZMESerialUpdater launched because it fit my usage scenario.
But you misunderstand my(or our) problem(s), the problem is not the user friendlies of the tool, the problem is that the tool is broken (for our boards at least), and does not work as it should (based on the documentation), it does not upgrade the firmware.

But i understand the confusion now.
So 05 27 is in HEX, and it means 5.39, which is the current latest version, that's why the tool would not upgrade, we already had the latest.
This is a perfect example about missing or poor documentation on this page https://z-wave.me/zmeserialupdater-manual/
The crucial information about the version shown by the tool being in HEX, and the versions on the MAP https://service.z-wave.me/expertui/uzb- ... graph.html being decimal.
Why would you confuse people with having two standards of showing firmware versions anyway?

Becuase it is our internal tool. We suggest to use Z-Way and also use our internal MQTTClient app to transfer all devices to MQTT.

Ok, i understand, but if it's internal keep it internal, don't make it public without a full documentation then.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Haha, I just read about it.
Ok, so that means I am up-to-date with my board when I understood that correct. Thanks for your help.
And please keep the internal tool available for the public. Would be nice to see a hint in the docum, entation that the version numbers are dealt a diffeent way but now at least all readers of this thread know about it.
Regards
