Tagging seems not to have a consistent behaviour. I did use the word climate for all my temperature sensors. After the first tag was entered the name climate did not appear in the drop down list. As a result all tags were lost after I closed and restarted firefox.
Next after I tagged the first device I forced an update of the browser. As a result the tagname climate appeared in the dropdown list. So I did tag all sensors again from the dropdown list. Next I forced an update of the browser. All tags where still there. After restart of Firefox I ended up with only two of tags being saved. That happened also after the next round of tagging. I did use preferences/widgets for the tagging.
What am I doing wrong

Re: Problem with tags
On further testing the tags appeared to be persistent if I checked the show on dashboard at the same time.
The settings also survived a restart of Z-Way.

Re: Problem with tags
Can you reproduce the problem and create an issue on github? so we can assign it to our developers.
Also at the beginning we though tags would be good things to use in modules to select groups of devices, but so far this was not implemented and I'm not sure it is easy to add to the current concept.

Re: Problem with tags
I have gone through this four or five times with the same results. I tried both FF and Chrome. So I do not know what I can do more.PoltoS wrote:Can you reproduce the problem and create an issue on github?
It would be good if another user would try under Preferences/Widgets
- add a new tag to a device from the list
- see if they try to tag the next device, the tag-name just created is in the drop down list
- if the tag is there, apply it to that second device
- tag one more device with that same tag
- close your browser and start it again to see if the tags persist.
PS: Tags are not on my critical path, I just tested them because they are there.
