I add my devices using the "Expert UI", and "Z-Wave Home Automation UI" for controlling it (automation, even though I don't like the interface).

The problem is that even if I rename the devices in the expert ui, in ha ui the name is the generic one.
Is it possible to have the device information in sync between the interfaces?

No, the Expert UI names you give do not survive a system upgrade.
If you dont like the HA interface, you may consider an other rendering machine likethe ones named here: http://razberry.zwave.me/index.php?id=3. There are others as well.
