Problem using Devolo Remote Switch (same as Z-Wave.me KFOB)

Post by jens »

Hello,

for controlling light scenes and beeing informed about open windows, I have a Fibaro Sensor attached to all windows. And this works fine without any problems. I have the hardware, hence I thought of also using them as a intrusion detection.

To signal the Razberry that I have left the house or that I'm coming home I wanted to use a remote switch. Now I have a Devolo Remote Switch which seems to be identical to the Z-Wave.me KFOB. The inclusion worked, but I can only get the battery state in the UI. But I can't use the buttons for a logical rule. After reading several documents I tried to set associations in the expert UI. I can only choose devices ther but even that I can't get to work.

Following the expert UI the inclusion process has succeeded. Is there a step I'm missing?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Kfob is not a switch, but a controller. So obviously you won't see any switches being created. However there is an App that can automatically virtual switches. In this thread viewtopic.php?f=3422&t=21965 I have experimented a bit with a similar device. Maybe it can help you further. (I did test that setup with v2.0.2-rc7.)
